Use for active weight-training: 8-12 contractions, extending hold and relax to max of 10 secs. . Repeat 3 times in a single day, on 3-4 days pw with at least one day rest between "exercise" days.

This 3-component add-on weights set is designed for use with the Aquaflex Pelvic Floor Exercise System. This weights set cannot be used as a stand-alone exercise aid.

The Aquaflex Pelvic Floor Exercise System contains 4 weights, which together add up to 55g, and are designed to be used "passively", that is whilst a woman is undertaking normal activities, and without simultaneous pelvic floor muscle exercises.

Whilst many women find that passive use of progressive weights up to 55g are a highly effective method of overcoming stress incontinence, heavier weights used passively (that is, held in the vagina whilst walking around for 15-20 mins per day) may be potentially damaging to the pelvic connective tissue.

However, heavier weights, used as part of an active weight training program, can provide more challenge and build stronger muscle. But few women can meet the challenge of a 390g Energie barbell.

To help fill this gap, we have designed and produced this supplementary weights set that includes weights of 50g, 85g and 95g.

All three of these supplementary weights sit within only the wider Aquaflex cone (the increasing weight is sufficient challenge in itself and there is no need to use the narrower cone for even more challenge to the muscles.)

They can be used in flexible combination with the weights supplied with a Aquaflex Pelvic Floor Exercise System, enabling further progression through stages of 60g, 65g, 70g, 75g, then 85g, then 95g. Weights are supplied with instructions for applying weight-training techniques and repetitions, based on the American College of Sports Medicine's Position Stand on Progression Models in Resistance Training for Healthy Adults (ACSM 2002).

These weights are manufactured in Australia from high quality 304 stainless steel. They are supplied with instructions, and a black velveteen drawstring bag for storage.

As with all our innovative exercise aids, users should consult a health professional before embarking on a new exercise program to ensure it is suitable for their needs.
