The Astra™ IUD Skills Training Model is purpose-built to support comprehensive, hands-on training in intrauterine device (IUD) simulation. Designed for women's health healthcare professionals, Astra enables realistic practice of IUD assessment, insertion, positioning, and extraction techniques. With anatomically accurate structures and life-like tactile feedback, Astra bridges the gap between theoretical learning and clinical confidence.
Astra features a replaceable translucent uterus with a pink cervix and is available in Light, Medium and Dark skin tones.

Accessories and replacement components
The pelvic bone component fits on top of the stand and is sold separately. Additional replacement uteruses are also sold separately.
Uterus wear and replacement
The Astra uterus is a consumable component intended to be replaced periodically as wear occurs. As with any soft-tissue simulation model, normal wear occurs with repeated use. The feel and resistance may change, particularly with repeated tenaculum use.
The rate of wear varies with IUD type and size, tenaculum placement and technique, and frequency and manner of use. Changes in tactile feel are an expected characteristic and do not necessarily indicate a defect. Replace the uterine component when the desired level of tactile realism is no longer achieved.
