Associate Professor Pauline Chiarelli is an academic at the University of Newcastle in Australia. She is an author and leading national and international speaker on pelvic floor exercises for men and women.
Pauline has the ability to teach men the importance of strong pelvic floor muscles in a positive ,uplifting style as revealed in this DVD.
Pauline is an excellent communicator and delivers her message with confidence, humour and in plain easy to understand terms.
The DVD provides insight into the location and structure of the pelvic floor muscles and demonstrates how to exercise them effectively. It can be viewed as a 'play all' or individual chapters may be selected to view specific topics. The viewer is taken into the treatment room to gain better understanding of pelvic muscles by watching a bladder scan and seeing pelvic floor muscles being exercised in real time via ultrasound images.
There is also a visually explicit demonstration of how the bits below the belt look when they are working out correctly.
Whilst this DVD was originally developed for men undergoing treatment for prostate cancer it will not only assist men to understand their pelvic floor muscles and to improve continence pre and post prostate cancer treatment but also those with weakened pelvic floor muscles and bladder control problems due to other causes.
It is also relevant to those men who wish to maintain or increase their pelvic floor strength to help avoid future problems or improve sexual performance.
