The Pericalm Pelvic Floor Stimulation Unit offers the all features of the Athena, plus a number of additonal features. It also allows you to select the electrode design that suits you best, at a lower total cost.

We consider that the Pericalm Pelvic Floor Stimulation Unit better meets the needs of our customers, because

• the Pericalm incorporates 6 preset programmes designed to treat a range of pelvic floor disorders (the Athena has two programmes, one for stress and one for urge incontinence)
• the Pericalm includes 3 customisable programmes allowing you or your therapist to programme the unit to deliver exactly what you need, including allowing it to be used as a TENS unit for pain relief on other parts of the body (the Athena has no customisable programmes and therefore limited versatility)
• the Pericalm does not come with an electrode, so you are able to choose an electrode that suits you from a number of different designs (the Athena comes with its own electrode, the design of which doesn't necessarily suit all women)
• the Pericalm uses wired technology, which is much more reliable than cordless technology. You will never have a problem with the electrode failing to "communicate" with the control unit
• even when combined with the most expensive electrode in our range, the Pericalm remains over AUD$100 cheaper than the Athena.
